Default Rotax 503 on Ebay

Saw this 503 on ebay thought I would pass it along in case anyone was interested, bids are currently fairly low. Only 5 hours left!

Default 503

Hi,

I had one of these on my very first aircraft... The TST MK 1 Thruster stick and Rudder! Not a bad engine at all!
This went over to Ireland i dont know if it is still flying around but the engine was one of the good ones!
I have now got the 582 on the CH.II. no comparrison!
At the moment the engines(Rotax)are going for silly money!

That engine is a sled engine, no provision for a gearbox, OK if you plan to use a belt drive. Plus you would be out about another $500 for exhaust.

Good points, I'm still learning a lot about the Rotax engines so it's good to see these kinds of comments. It would be nice to see some sort of Sticky with each engine and what modifications are required to use them for flight. But, that's a lot of work for someone with extra time on their hands

Default rotax

Hi,
The rotax engine is a good engine!... i have the 582 Water cooled in a challenger II aircraft this is a two seater aircraft..Tanden Type... i will probbly be skinned for this remark!... but it is far supirior to the 503! said it!!
with the gyro i have a two place i have a 4 cyl EA81 soob...this again is in a different league altogether! Probbly start a riot with this one! Lovely engine also used in aircraft! worth its weight in gold! there are some of the gyrocopter owners on here who use the rotax and the Subaru! Being on here the lads on here are great and are a mine of information... as i am sure you will find....ENJOY!
