See where the gas is located, I bet the pilot auto rotates after flying for a few minutes.

I am really interested in this.....a true weedhopper. It must be flown with displine not to get over 6-7 feet high, as Dennis said it will not auto rotate!

I could see myself skimming the bean fields here in ohio or buzzing over to a friends house just in ground effect. I would like to make a foam kit for mine that looks like the front of a starwars speeder bike NOW THAT WOULD BE SWEET

More like a weed-eater.

I've seen videos of it flying and for what it is, it does a good job. The guy flying it is Frans Schoeffman. I believe he weighs about 170 lb so it's limited in payload. Another member on this forum (Gilbert) saw it fly in 2005.
This company might be a scam. I would not pay $40 just to get a little info and a price. I emailed them and I'll see what comes back.

I received an answer to my interest in the heli kit. This is the reply:

"Do you have a website? enter contruction How much is the kit complete in USD 11.200"

something wrong here.

One cannot be sure untill you see the info pack but I guess it's something like: DVD=compilation of what is available on youtube
with a good printer and some imagination a nice looking brochure can be put together and.....he's laughing all the way to the bank !!

I'm convinced that the original designer,Franz Schoeffman doesn't know about this.
It's a thing of all times and I'm sure that "the not so young" (including myself) do remember company's like "Helicraft" and/or "Vortech" and the like who sold "plans" of rotorcraft,well...plans might be using the wrong word in this context.

Oh well.......

Re the email in the first posting.
An email came in later with the following pictures and no text.

http://www.unicopter.com/MariaEvliat...2)_Smaller.gif
http://www.unicopter.com/MariaEvliatou_4_Smaller.gif
http://www.unicopter.com/MariaEvliatou_5_Smaller.gif
http://www.unicopter.com/MariaEvliatou_6_Smaller.gif

I never linked the two until yesterday. When doing a search on the email address the two emails came up.
Maybe he wants to sell the one in the pictures but used Schoeffman's in his marketing email.

Thanks Dave,

weird though that one would use pictures of another craft to promote their own.

Someone wants to plunk down 40 bucks for the info pack?

Cita

Actually there are 2 proven types in existents - but not as kit's.
The Schoefman type, and the 'upside down Schoefman' / flying platform.

Call them helicopters, and you are likely to get disagreements.
Use them as helicopters, and you are likely to die.

Call them hovercopters, and you are likely to get understanding.
Use them as hovercopters, and you are likely to survive.

Take your choise
