Default ASC KIMO Nationals

The ASC KIMO Nationals will be held at Three Rivers municipal airport (HAI: 41 57.59' 085 35.60') in Michigan over the Labor Day weekend (Sep. 3-5). This is one of the premier ultralight fly-ins in the country, including powered parachutes, trikes, and fixed-wings.

As Director of the Rotor Wing of ASC, I would like to invite any midwest gyro pilots looking for a weekend of fun and good fellowship to fly or trailer their gyros or works-in-progress to the fly-in. Gyros are welcome in ASC and any machines that arrive will certainly be centers of attention.

Hi Ralph, Tom Milton and I plan on flying in on saturday in Tom's Sundowner.

I was thinking of flying the gyro there but decided against it. It's a little to far and the Hirth is a real gas guzzler.

So I won't have anything to show off. But if I can help you in any other way, let me know.

Chuck,

Great that you and Tom will be attending. I am going to see about a table for the Rotor Wing. If you could occasionally be available to field questions, that would be great. I am going to put together a gyroplane pamphlet that will point folks to some of the wide range of gyro-related resources and will be handing that out to those with an interest. I may also try to set up a bulletin-board for posting pictures of the various gyro models.

I'll be there too. Anything I can do to help out?

Hey, this is Michigan. We will be lucky if they can predict the weather the day before!

Ralph,

Tim Blackwell has rented a 25x25 vendor space for he and I. We should have our 2 gyros there (not much to look at). I'm trying to finish a composite seat for mine so we can demo the pre-rotator that Rufus put together (pull start type).
