Default Matt Kenseth wins two races in a row!

My DeWalt team is a winning combo. Matt just won. I was so impressed with them. That DeWalt team is awesome!

They had it together again. They are only the 4th team in history to win the first two races of the year. Good Job #17 team

I just wish that Daytona was not decided the way that it was. A caution rain delay finish is not what I wanted to see. I think there were better cars on the track at Daytona when they called it. Good for him though. I am starting to get into NASCAR every year. BTW Fox would not say it but that huge pile up that took out Kyle Busch's M&M car was totally Jr.'s fault. Just because he is the most popular driver they won't say anything about him.

Matt,
I am by no means a JR. fan, however yesterday he did an interview with Boogity,Boogity,Boogity man. In that interview JR. took complete resposibility for the accident. Brian Vickers said JR called him and appolgized. Vickers said he just wanted to move on.

THe Daytona crash...MAN, was that JUST like what happened to Dale Sr or WHAT!!! Remember, Dale Sr did exactly what Brian Vickers did to Dale Jr! Only difference was that the old man was on balonies on the last lap, last turn, tried to put a block down low, lost it and wrecked himself. This time Brian blocked Dale Jr on fresh meats, going slow, and Dale just jerked his car back up from the apron and clipped Vickers. That's Vicker's problem. THe reason they didn't call Jr out for a fine and penalty was because Vickers brought it on himself - Jr clipped him on the rebound from a very aggressive but legal block. Had Jr waited, and THEN clipped Vickers, he would have been hit with a penalty big time. THere was no special grace given Jr by NASCAR. NASCAR saw it as a racing incident, and not a hot-headed, premeditated slam. THey probably got it right. ANd Jr probably hit him on purpose.

I agree NoWings, Jr had a good run on him and Vickers blocked him and actually hit him down on the aprin, When Jr turned back to get back on the track he hit Vickers.... On purpose???? Do not think so but he took the blame anyway.
As they say, Rubbin is racing. These guys were all trying to win and accidents happin.

Stan, I have never been much of a Nascar Fan and rarely watch races although many of my friends are die hard. After following your DeWalt build competition I couldn’t help but to root for Mat and the 17 in Daytona to the chagrin of my buddies who each have their favorite driver and were surprised I was rooting for a driver. They didn’t know I was only watching to see if I could catch a glimpse of you and your entourage of Jeff, Brad and Lil Splinter. I have to admit the race was fun to watch and see how it could be addicting. I can’t believe I actually watched this week’s race, part time and couldn’t help myself to encourage and hope for the 17 to succeed. Toward the end of the race I brought my project inside so I could witness the ending and it was fun watching Matt pull into the lead and jockey to hold it. Thanks Stan, I really needed another addiction!

Another 17 tidbit. When Matt Kenseth won the Daytona 500 last week...that was his 17th NASCAR win.

Again...after we received the innermost workings of the DeWalt race team....I was thoroughly impressed. The DeWalt setup was by far the best one down there. I feel fortunate to have seen something I most likely will just have to remember from now on. Those private tours are rare as hens teeth. What impresses me is their consistency and dedication that the team has. I can see this team sticking together for years.

Matt is a very quiet person and doesnt get near the exposure that Dale Jr. does. He just is quietly representing DeWalt by being a winner on their team. After talking to him in person...he is very appreciative of his position, is very down to earth and very modest.

DeWalt has a nice website where you can keep track of their operation both in the tool world and the racing world at....

www.dewalt.com

By the way...I am happy to announce that Brad McFarland, Doc Holliday, and myself have been chosen to be permanent members and contributors to their Pro Corner section you see on their site. Soon we will be uploading our current projects and having online Q&A feedback. This is going to be a lot of fun for us.

Stan, What have you heard about this? I haven't heard anything more about it since before the race.

Lil' splinter says hi, and she had fun texting you during the Auto Club race. She's already talking about the Las Vegas race. What time does it start? where's is at? where are we going to watch it?

Thanks to you Stan, We now have a NASCAR junkie to contend with. Oh, and get this, We wore the same shirts for this race as we did at Daytona.
Hence they've been deemed "LUCKY SHIRTS".

Not only that, I'm not allowed to wash them, "Because it's our lucky Shirts, Dad!" "you might wash the luck out of them"

If this keeps up, we may smell quite ripe come November.

Go Matt, Go!

Brad
