Default Website for my stairshop

Look at what a nice person who viewed my contest entry did for me. He said my wbsite needed a little work...this is just a start. I will soon have pages of pictures for my clients and prospective clients to go to. I will also of course have a rotorcraft section and will link to this site.

This is just his first quicky draft to see if I liked it.

Go to http://www.askmrlink.com/stairs/

I will have my stairshop logo that I will upload to this site when I get trained how to do it. I am retarded when it comes to setting this stuff up.

Stan...
You really do fantastic work!!!!...and as such, may I make a suggestion for your site?

You might find the "Home" page more appealing if you highlight fewer photos across the top- but make them LARGER (to show off the "sizzle" of your craft) ...maybe three across with nice Gold boarders in between to make them "pop" off the page. When you do your archive section, make your photo's LARGE...maybe down the left side in a column with bio's to the right...make sure they are "click to view larger detail" in a new pop-open window. (low res for the pages= high res for the pop-ups).
Three or four down in framed boarders- several pages or so deep (most people will only need to see about three pages....yup you guessed it...three is a magic number it seems when doing these). Don't forget to show "details" of quality construction and in progress stuff too....people love it.

I bring this up because when I did a site a few years ago to aid me in my former occupation (Jeweler) and it was important to customers to really see the "sizzle" of what it was that I did so well...and likewise for you too I'd bet- it makes for a truly outstanding visual impression on the home page. People will just moan "WOW" as that page fully loads.

Your workmanship is fantastic...have those photos blow your customers minds...you'll be writing orders in no time due solely to the photos...really (and it will help you goose your prices because you'll be in steady demand too).
Hope it helps.
Mike
