Smile Airworthiness Certifications @ Mentone

Now is the time to reserve your slot for receiving your Airworthiness Certification at Mentone. I will be there for the full week.

Certifications are $350. and there will be no additional travel charges at this event.

I can not do "last minute" walk-ups this year.

So, if you THINK you might need a certification at Mentone, e-mail me ASAP and let me know. gyroplanes@aol.com

Everyone wanting an airworthiness.....I have had Tom do 3 airworthiness certificates for me....and each time was as smooth as silk. Tom knows what he is doing.

I will have him do my Helicycle next year.

Tom: Quick question. After you do my airworthiness....I of course have to fly my 40 hours off within a 25 mile radius of an assigned location.

I want so bad to fly to Mentone 2009 if my 40 hours are flown off. If...I dont have my 40 hours flown off...can you designate a 2nd area for me to stay within 25 miles of? Say maybe Mentone?....and I could trailer it in and fly at Mentone?

Thanks for the endorsement, I'm happy and proud to serve the rotorcraft community.

Yes, I can assign multiple phase one test areas. Under extremley unusual circumstances, I was once able to assign 4 test areas (with FAA approval) One of the things the FAA frowns on is asking for multiple areas and connecting corridors for reasons other than flight testing (the intent of phase one) The FAA understands that it may be advantageous to be able to trailer your aircraft to a test pilot, factory rep or someone who will enhance safety in phase one.

Tom: That would be great if I could have Mentone as a 2nd area. If no corridor is allowed between Paxton and Mentone...that would be fine. I would just trailer it in next year if my 40 hours arent flown off. My goal all along was to fly it to or at Mentone 2009....and the biggest threat to this is my not getting my turbine in April. If its delayed till even June...I believe I can have it flying ...but not 40 hours worth. Thats where I would be tickled to just haul it over.

Hey....I am a surface dweller this year and will have more time to hang out with you at Mentone..

Tom, Sorry but I thought that you would see this here.....

I am installing a new 503 with C box on the single seat Air Command. I will be installing it plugs down, just like the original. Then later I will be installing the CLT kit & flipping the engine upright.

I have the old lower prerotator drive. What is the latest & greatest lower(or whole system) unit for this application? (plugs up & down)

And pricing ?

You website is under consruction so posting here would be fine.

I wonder if I will have to shorten my flex shaft ? Do you do that ?

Thanks, Chris

PS .... I guess that I will have to go back to phase one testing ? Is that correct?

Also my airport is in fear of closing......If it does will you have to assign me a new test area ?
