Default Old Air Command news video from 1989

This is a news clip made in Kansas City by the Channel 4 News team at our factory airport back in 1989.

Thank you Greg Bradly for sending me this lost footage.

Dennis, I just know you're going to edit the headliner on that film strip!
Or am I the only one to catch it?

Nice footage. I am constantly amazed at how many people, even pilots (who may also sometimes qualify as people) have absolutely no idea about gyrocopters. As proofed by this video and so many others, it isn't so much that gyros have been in hiding. Perhaps the ill-informed merely group them in with helicopters and move on to the important soap operas of the day.

Thank you.
It just don't matter how many times you run the spell-checker, or look at it over and over and over, a mistake just seems to be inevitable.
I fixed it, it may take some time to update.

I see a Brantley and a Mini-500 in the background. Wonder where that was?

She spoke Dutch, Animal because it was filmed in Holland, on Zeeland Airport.
The man being interviewed is Richard van As, the only CFI in the country. Well spotted mr. Fetters, you could even see a J2 in the background too and to please you even more there's even an Aircommand side by side with a BMW
r1100rs engine on, but that is in an other corner, so not visable.
I spend a great amount of time there, building flying and having a lot of fun.
Next time I have to shave myself if we get visitors like Linda and her
cameraman, so I look more decent.
She does a crashcourse every week on another subject, the fist one
was a gyrocopter course in the way we usually do, quite a few hours
on the glider (duo and solo) first, than the duo on the the Twinstarr.
I thought she was rather brave, not all girls her age or a lot of FW pilots
would just step in to a gyrocopter...
