If an earlier article is correct this is NOT true. I will have to go back and re-read it but I thought it was going to be required everywhere Mode C is required. Mode C covers a lot of turf and affects local traffic that is not using a controlled (Towered) airport. I would not mind the new rule imposing this equipment on us if it were only required " fly into the larger airports". .

As it becomes available the many other types of GPSs will have it in their systems also. Might even be an up grade. The cost will have to come down.
