The video shows something interesting that I think could help us understand PIO in gyros, while it shows a CH 53 helo, I am sure you can use your imagination.

My question is: was the mishap a result of the design or pilot overshoot / error / overcorrection. Rusty nance may have a better understanding of this incident but I am sure you can visualize the tail section of a gyro taking the place of the fuel probe and the resulting debris. field.
