Hi Brett

If the DAG-1 had a three tube pylon mast it would look just like the FUll Size one that I have under construction, will probably use Sub EA-81 on it. Like the DAG-1 so well think I will build one of them for fun.

Have contacted some of the R/C Autogyro guys and suggested that they consider having a fly in at the PRA National at Mentone, maybe not this year although that would be nice.

What does everyone else think about having model R/C gyros at the convention or maybe the week before or after ?

I would LOVE to see them at Mentone.

If I buy this one I will try to bring it with me.

Hi Tim

Have made some contacts with the a few members of the Autogyro club called the "GYRONUTS" and with a R/C manufacture about having R/C models maybe demonstrated there, maybe some of the other manufactures will speak up and join in, or some more of the model gyro members join in and get a real fun thing going, there's plenty of time to "get 'er done" yet for this years convention at Mentone.

If this looks like it could happen then someone needs to contact Glenn Bundy, the convention chairman, about carving out some time for them. Otherwise they could be out of luck if they show up unexpectedly.

Yeah, Tony, but Jennifer isn't the one responsible! She is super in her job but this isn't in her job description although I'm sure she would try to accomodate your request.

Ron,

Looks like you have been shopping and a good choice for sure.

But also check into those replacement parts prices.

It's not the cost of the initial machine it's the cost of the parts that keep it alive is what counts.

That RC stuff is fun but man you can for sure get caught up in it really fast.

Check the prices on the things that just look like they will break and order yourself some spare parts to keep on hand.

This way the fun won't stop just because you havn't a replacement part on hand.

Brett,

I loved seeing the Black Widow Wireless video on Mickey Nowell's site.

I gotta have one of these for a birds eye view.

It looked kinda shakey but a little CG balancing would straighten that out.

I was on the bubble for the last year on whether I should buy one of Mickey Nowell's electric gyro kits. I talked to him once about having him build one ready to fly for me.... Anyway, his kits still require alot of work to get flying and the price is fairly steep. This rotorshape gyro looks very nice and priced inline with other small electric park flyer models. I got too busy to order one yesterday, so I will have to wait till Monday. Anyone else order one from them yesterday, and if so did they have many in stock?

Mark, I am being consumed with RC models! I have 3... THREE.... new planes sitting here at the house that need to be built. And I have 2 glow models, and 2 electric parkflyers, one electric pusher jet, one electric powered glider, and a electric helicopter, all at the airport ready to fly. RC models is a addiction worse than real flying.... It is fun though~
