What about the Interleaving configuration? The Landgraf H-2, or a modified version, has got to be a lot easier to build than the X2. ![]() The Real Deal; OTHER: Helicopter - Outside - Interleaving - Landgraf ~ H-4 Low Cost Starter Kit ;OTHER: Helicopter - Inside - Interleaving - Rubber-Band Powered Model Dave Last edited by Rotor Rooter; 11-08-2006 at 10:05 PM. |

How about this:
http://avia.russian.ee/helicopters_eng/mi-12-r.html "Unfortunately, testing of the V-12 started with a disastrous heavy landing and the Mil team experienced major stability difficulties with the two remaining prototypes. The performance of the V-12 never matched that of Mil's other large trans-port helicopters and it was eventually abandoned. " Last edited by PTKay; 11-09-2006 at 12:31 AM. |

PTKay,
Yes. The V-12 is just barely interleaving. The blade overlap is 8 feet. It is the only other Interleaving, which I have ever come across. Do you think that it might be a little too big for the weekend homebuilder? ![]() _____________________ The 3 page article AMERICAN HELICOPTER October 1946, which is shown in the above link [OTHER: Helicopter - Outside - Interleaving - Landgraf ~ H-4] gives an excellent description of the craft. If anyone wants a larger, readable, copy of the three pages, just send an e-mail with the Subject [Landgraf] to jackson.dave@shaw.ca and I will attach the pages to a return e-mail. Dave |
