Has anyone thought or tried a harmonic balancer on a rotor head to reduce stress to the frame or mounts. A slider type head that can move a little forward or a rubber mounts to reduce stress on a tractor where two or more tubes come together to mount the head? I read a little on cracking on some of these setups..

Bought a Balancemaster mercury vibration damper.

Best 100$ I ever wasted.....
Useless.

Now if only Limbsaver would make some doinkers for a gyro!

Ooooo, I like your thinking

That's an interesting question (this forum is a gold mine) !
I'm going to have to think about that as the 'vibration issue' is something that I would like to resolve as well. Perhaps rotor balancing would take care of MOST of it...
So, would this need to be a 'dynamic' balancing system... do the vibrations change in various flight modes? Hmmmmm......
