OK, he landed!

But did he survived? I found scary how long the shot was after the landing in the cardboard box and still no one emerging from it...

I saw it on the News tonight. Afterwards he was interviewed and told he could go and celebrate now, to which he replied, "The works only just started we have to pack up all the boxes now."

Nipple and Toe wheels and a rollout is all he needs.

Rig a tailhook and he can do it onto carrier decks.

His next project is a controllable thruster in each hand.

The thrusters are turned on at the flare causing him to become vertical. He then descends until his feet touch the ground.

Surely the guy on the scaffold in the background could have taking a better shot of the landing. At the height he jumped, he woudn't have hit terminal velocity yet. Impressive stunt. How do you practice that one?

That would have been intense, even if you did the math and practiced off a skyscraper?
Thanks for sharing Red!!!

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the cameraman and kept waiting and looking for the shot!

The jump was from 2400ft out of a 500, he has done numerous Test jumps previously,
Complete with the camera man who open chute at 300 ft, The pilot was my old instructor.
There is a film being made so footage is minimal.

"Nipple and Toe wheels and a rollout is all he needs".
Will pass on the suggestion

I remember when I began skydiving in the sixties, Ed Pack jumping without a parachute and being passed one in freefall.

This of course takes it to a higher level.
