I'm in the process of rebuilding my 90 hp mac for my gyro,
my connecting rods have 24 pin bearings with no cage on the large end, I cleaned all the pins, and have noticed 25 of them should be replaced,
I am not shure how to identify the rod " a " or " e" . Mine have AE casted into them. Or what type of bearing is in it. Was wondering if this is a mod, or factory? And how do I identify my rods? I think the pins are 0.186 X 0.912,
my caliper is not calabrated so I might be oit a couple 0.000
I was going to order my parts from R&D but need to know what I have. also the rod has F-05418 casted into it.
thanks for the replies

Please do not call as I will not be answering questions. I am retiring from the Mac! If you guys need questions answered call R&D in Texas.

It would be helpful if you could post a pic of what you have

Those look like E rods.

It looks like you need new bearings

I called red and did some more serching, they are e rods with the locating washer shims on the piston pin, and bearings are a mod, standard rollers with no cage, thanks for the help
