We have quite a few instructors here in the UK now and all are very good in my experience (have had lessons with 5!) although the style differs. I've only done around 40 hours (mostly on MTs) - you can't hire a gyro here yet because of legal restrictions so you either have to buy a share (I only know of MT shares available) or buy an aircraft before you can go solo. I opted for the latter having selected a Magni and hope to finish off the licence when it arrives. It's been a journey - but I have only written off one aircraft so far (first attempt at solo - better luck next time!)
