I'm out of this thread.

EDIT: On second thought. I'll give it one shot Jason. I've taken a close up of the nose for you. I hope it can explain things better than I can. 4130,suspension.,triangulation....
Thanks Mr Roda,

You should have put that into post below and it would have been much more clear. Instead of just saying "We keep the nosewheel short because we feel that a long one such as the one on the Dominator has an extreme bending moment, not that it is weak, but that in a bad landing it might break or bend. So keeping it short, and adding suspension to it just makes it safer in bad situations. That is the main reason for the short stance." You could have added that unless you see that type of gear on a Sport Copter because we are the ONLY ones who have figured out how to properly engineer that type of landing gear and triangulation is the ONLY way to make it strong enough. We have found that that the triangulation (fore and aft) will totally protect the gear from even side loads that might be encountered in bad situations.

I think something like this would have made it much more clear what you are really trying to say.

Regards
Jason

I would love to clarify the difference between yankin and bankin and rolling and looping but I decided to leave this conversation as it is off topic. Maybe another thread on looping and rolling gyroplanes would be in order.

I apologise Jason, sometimes I can't convey my thoughts properly. I was only referring to the two designs being discussed originally. The SCII and the Dominator DO NOT share the same gear as you suggest. They are entirely different and if you'd like to discuss that, please start a thread of your own
