Celier Aviation at European Day for Border Guards.

Celier Aviation participated in the European Day for Border Guards held on the 23 May 2013. Celier Aviation exposed the Xenon 4 Law Enforcement platform equipped with dedicated sensors furnished in support of professional duties.

Interest is growing in our unique product due to the fact that the Xenon 4 is now very mature and at the same time many countries are encountering financial cuts leading to many helicopters being grounded. Celier Aviation is offering the professional world a quasi-helicopter at the price of a car. This is an offer very difficult to refuse.

First Xenon from factory in Biskupice is delivered to Germany.

Someone who wrote this is probably a poor contact with reality.
"Actions speak more than words"-bragging that after more than 18 months of delivery to the client machine instead of the promised three months is a nasty joke.

" Let us leave bygones as bygones and think about the bright future ahead of us."
It is easy to let things be forgotten especially for someone boyanes ( customers who have paid a deposit and not yet received their machines also have to let go of the past).

To be fair when Celier relies on a partner to provide all the manufacturing facility and expertise then when a falling out with that partner happens and they go their separate ways; its not that easy to go setup another production facility and start production. 18 months is probably normal time frame for setting a business entity, get design drawings organized for production, get new vendors for outsourced parts, get qualified assemblers, get them up to speed, get a facility and get moving. Anyone who thinks that is trivial has not made anything more complex for production than Chinese toys. Case in point take a look at RV-12. Even with great engineering talent in house, they decided to outsource assembly to a shop that was already used to assembling RV airplanes. That's who they selected for S-LSA assembly for production.

Regarding the buyers with deposits; well that's bad for the buyers for sure and they have every right to ask for their deposits back. Keep in mind Icon and Chesna (Chinese made Cessna model) SkyCatcher have had 1000's of deposits and Icon has not delivered a single airplane and Cessna is way behind by the 100's after 3 years. Welcome to aviation where mass production is counted in 100's at most.

with all due respect, he could have outsourced by his old partner,
to satisfy the customers, sell some machines, earn money,
and use it to set up a proper production facility in the meantime.

The outsourcing contract could have been limited in time,
just enough to get another solution.

Instead of that the deliveries were interrupted, customers confidence
in shatters, and the product practically dead.

I was always trying to persuade and advice,
that a compromise is the best solution.
I am very sorry, I failed.

Poor reality assessment and poor business decisions.

Another question is, what it is "Biskupice production line".

We still haven't got any official statement from CA regarding last rumors.

With all due respect, Fara, but on a second thought, you exaggerate
and make false comparisons.

First of all, the Cessna and Icon deposits are refundable, and Cessna
has returned all the deposits to everybody in Europe, who has chosen to do so.
Cessna is a multi-billion operation and 1000 or 100 SkyCatchers makes no difference
for them, just peanuts. Eventually they'll make the 1000.

All the deposits were symbolic, few percent, to hold your position in the delivery list.

Quote from the Icon web page:
" - Deposit: $5,000 USD (refundable at any time; deposited with Silicon Valley Bank, Holding Agent)"

Icon has been flown, tested and is waiting for the approvals,
amphibian aircraft are new to LSA standards.
Icon is not consuming the deposit money to finance their activity.

It was not 50%, then another 40% on "engine installation" followed by many months
waiting time.

This kind of a "business model" is just not fine with me.

An update on the CA website shows the second and third new bild Xenon G2 being delivered to Germany this week - this completes the batch of three G2 machines - all three are now at the same airfield - interesting to see that the first delivered ( the red example ) has now taken up German registration marks "D-MANL".
