Yes, Eurocopter is more concerned about noise than Skikorsky is. This may have to do with their focus on commercial craft whereas Sikorsky is primarily interested in military craft.

The swept tips may be a means of replicating the swept wings on high speed airplanes.


Juergen,

There is an advanced means of transition to a different mode using an advanced blade. But, the reverse transition is proving to be difficult.
