Default Newbie Questions

First let me say, I am enjoying this Forum and have been reading and learning a lot from the experts.
I am very new to this type of aircraft and am scheduled to take my first intro flight next weekend with Britta Penca out of San Manuel, AZ. I have experience with Powered Parachutes and also some flight time in Trikes. The first time I saw a Gyroplane in person was at the Mentone airport, I used to skydive at that airport before the PRA took over, used to live in Indiana and have been in AZ for 10yrs. Anyway, very interested in the Gyro and obtaining the proper training and working my way to a sport pilot. However, after reading some of the Gyroplane Handbook, I am feeling a little overwhelmed. It seems like there is a ton of stuff to know to be able to fly? Is this truly the case? I am sure I will have a better understanding after my Intro flight next week. Any knowledge and training tips would be appreciated.

Greg
