Paddy, right before I did the ArcticCat conversion, I also adapted an aircommand pod to my dominator. I had to make some brackets, and made a new mount tube for the instruments. (no handle, bracket with pod mounting screws) Same instrument pod, just lowered it to fit inside the pod.
I can still go from open, to pod in about 30 min, just change isntrument panel mount, slip on the pod, add a few brackets over the keel, all set up for winter flying!
It will be slightly faster, and makes a huge difference when cold out!

Thinking of your setup Scott it sounds like the best system. I wonder if the way to go would be to move the ultra white instrument pod lower and nearer the pilot and make a very lightweight pod that slid over the front, enclosing the ultra white panel.
