Great video! What a place! Not a hill in sight! and the air strip is huge!
Getting into photography will be my next mission.. but having hands busy.. video is good!
The video was steady and in focus.. and not all over the place... nice.
When I was learning I didnt like the music... I wanted to hear how others used the revs for various manouvers... but this was cool!
Thanks

Wondering what a camera set up will coast to be able to do this type of videoing? Also is there any place that is more reasonable to purchase one?

Default Gyro Pilots want more out of life...

It has been said that "you only get out of life what you put into it." When we come into this world we are controlled, managed, trained, educated, oh in need I say follow the rules, it's for your own good. After a while you become so programed it seems like we've lost the true meaning of freedom for what an earthbound person is all about. Then some of us reach out to aviation as a form of escape from all the stress and responsibilities that seems to take over our daily lives, few more still reach into another challenging form of flying with a more diverse flight envelope that a Gyro offers. While we are flying these kinds of aircraft, the world seems to come to a stop for a moment and nothing matters but what your doing at the time. You get a differnt perspective of life from another point of view for a change, which helps you in your decision making on important matters. That explains why you seem to have a different mindset after you land. ''oh and a smile on your face.'' Others would argue that were crazy for what we fly, but only another Gyro pilot would understand this. We all share a common goal, besides the flying sensation we want to be tested, put it all on the line, overcome any fears and know that we have what it takes to control this aircraft threw all of its flight caracteristics. Afterwords it makes you feel better about yourself. how many times in life does that happen??? I would have to say Gyro pilots are a unique sort of risk takers. This sport has made it much easier to deal with all the problems we encounter because we always have it to look forward to. With the rising cost of everything lately, it's made going anywhere harder. Well at least we can go out to fly and have our own little staycation.
Thats my take what do you think???............Dick (If everything is going your way, then your in the wrong lane.)

Great Video! One of my most favorite songs is "What A Wonderful World" and it was perfect. Made my day and week. Thanks so much for creating that video.

Hi there, I use the GoPro Hero 2, I like the image stabilizer it has. There are others now that are as good if not better...cost wise you just haft to shop around...on craigslist or eBay I've seen some good deals...

Agree 100%. I felt the same flying hang gliders, which is the closest anyone can get to being a bird. I also think it takes a special kind of person to fly experimental gyros.

Take care, Dick.
