Jarhead047 : I hated to say anything. It looks great. But the rudder to me should be sloped at the top and bottom one for flaring and the other for the blades not to hit it in case of flapping.

Jarhead047 : Sorry I couldn't tell, I have had problems with mine getting it off the trailer even with 5" off the bottom, with the rudder left on even though I have a nice slope to it. I also had 1 of my blades flap enough to touch the rudder back and leave me a nice little faint red mark.

Are you making a T tail like starbee's sales?

Yes it is like the one starbee sells. I hope I have enough slope on the bottom. when I built it I was thinking about the r blades and the ground coming in contact with the rudder.

Jarhead47 : I have 6" diff, on the top and 5" on the bottom as you can see on this, NowI have neve scraped the bottom comingin and flaring only taking it off the trailer.

Hi Chris,

Would extending the keel back a further 12" or so fix the problem when taking it off the trailer, and provide some protection for the tail when flaring?

Cheers

Barry

bopflyer : It might but remember (Weight) is the bad thing. It's just easier to me to take off a few inches.... What I do is I don't put my rudder on until I get the bird off the trailer.
