Check out the video showing landings with the Smart Struts.

Why would you not build every gyro with this type struts?

These are some hard landings. I wonder what happens if you have a cross wind?

As You can land in "0" roll, winds are not a factor, you can land across the landing strip and just stop there!
NO need for runway . . .you land "pad" style.

They have had a spell of bad luck lately.

From the news on the link you posted it seems like they will be recovered in a few weeks.

I also read about the MU club-donations. I think I will join/donate.

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date!

Those videos of the high impact landings are very impressive. I found myself "hunching"my shoulders when it hit the ground....look ma ...no damage. I hope I am past the point in my flying that I would have to do a 15-20 foot vertical decent under any circumstances other than landing in a forest with no engine. Then the chance of landing on a perfectly flat surface( like a runway) would be near zero. Ok , the next video I want to see is of the Monarch landing on the side of a hill full of sharp trees and bushes with no damage.... just dreaming and kidding.... I am just very impressed with what they have done.
