Hi guys. I just bought a torque wrench that goes all the way to 180 foot pounds. (hopefully never have to use it at that setting! ) I have gone through the whole documentation of the Bee and could not find any torque values to either the blades or the teetering bolt and so on. So I am guessing I should go by the recommended AN hardware standards for torquing. Does anyone have a guideline I could download? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

You will find that mostly all torque values on your gyro will be in
Inch pounds and if you don't find something I can copy the
Torque values out of my assembly manual for you.

Thanks Jamie it is both inch and foot pounds. One side shows inch pound the other side foot pound. It would help if you could get me the torque values. E-mail is [email protected]. Thanks in advance :)

Gabor, per Ernie, RFD.
FAA Advisory Circular 43.13
AN3 bolts 20 to 25 inch-pounds
AN4 bolts 50 to 70 inch-pounds
AN5 bolts 100 to140 inch-pounds
AN6 bolts 160 to 190 inch-pounds
AN8 bolts 480 to 690 inch-pounds

On 1/4" dia. grade 8 bolts, use same value as AN4 bolts.

I might add.
AN3=3/16"
AN4=1/4"
AN5=5/16"
AN6=3/8"
AN8=1/2"

Jay you are the man!!!! Thank you so much I really appreciate your help:first:

This is probably a stupid question, but is 12 inch pounds the same as 1 foot pound ?
AN8 bolt - 480 inch pounds or 40 foot pounds ?
Thanks, Greg

Greg I don't know the answer but I assume that's the case. I grew up using only metric system like the rest of the civilized world LOL. Soooo this foot and inch thingy is kind of Hebrew to me somewhat.

Greg, that is correct.
