At the suggestion of several forum posts I bought a new battery tender battery.
Looks good but it is so small I have big shims in my old battery box. It came out so so.
Could any of you folks out there post pictures of how you solved this problem?
Would appreciate it.

Build a new Battery box to fit it.

That looks like the old what i call a motorcycle battery. I have a big battery box
like that.
My Deltran battery tender battery is Case Dimensions: 4.21” (107mm) length x 2.2” (56mm) width x 3.35” (85mm) height and weighs 2 pounds.
Thanks for the reply anyway

quick, easy project.

quick, easy project.

Anyone with a box and pan brake and a welder can fabricate one for you to your exact dimensions Russel. It is a quick (cheap) easy project.

Vibration can hurt a battery so I like to use a rubber strap to hold it down.

No, not flying yet. We have vacation next week and buying a Toyota 4Runner for my wife with all the bells and whistles, so I am scheduling next summer to head up to Scappoose, Or. to Sportcopter to finish my training and have an Oregon vacation with the family. I hope to get in a few training hours in the interim at KBFFI in the mornings, then head off to work each day. That is a very busy work week for me unfortunately. Hopefully by next fall, I will be a fledgling pilot. :)
