Default Rotax ignition help

I just installed my new 670 on my Butterfly, but it won't start. Appears that there is no spark. I don't know the electrical system for this. Could somebody please help me diagnose this? Rotax Rick said he ran it on his stand. Help please!

Are you using the dual ducatti ign from a 582, or are you using the single snowmachine ign?

Thanks, Scott.
It has the dual ignition that Rotax Rick took off my 618.
Farmer Jim gave me the number of their Rotax Technician and I got on the phone with him last evening. I have a couple of things to check this morning and then I'll be getting back on the phone with him. I think he'll be able to help me get this working.
Stay tuned...

OK good, I hope it is something simple.

Hey Glenn, Might be a stupid question but is your ignition perhaps grounded, causing it to not fire? I found that CPS has some fair articles and pictures to help diagnose. http://www.800-airwolf.com/articles.htm

Flooded.
Spark test failed because I wasn't pulling hard enough. I didn't know it needed 400 rpm before it would fire. A couple of quick tests this morning and then I rolled it outside and it fired right up. Got 2 hours of flight testing in today and it seems to be running well. More testing tomorrow. Looks like I'll be flying at Mentone.

I've worked on/with many of these Rotax engines from that era with the Nipp ignition. Great system. Almost never see a failure. They'll pop a bright blue spark with just a quick flip over TDC.

To bad a dual Nipp system wasn't available. Much better setup in my opinion than a Ducatti and parts are much less.

Glad it's running for ya.
