I have had the same thoughts, but on this video it don't seam to be a problem. On the contrary, he is moving at lot of grass very nicely.

I wonder if in this particular machine the weight distribution is most of the problem (that is- if there IS a problem- I'm not trying to tell the guy how to build his own machine). But it seems like with the engine in back, and the person in front- instead of them crowded in closer to the center- more or less over the coaxial props, or positioned vertically, more like the Hiller Platforms- that this is what could be causing most of the wobble and unsteadiness. I'll bet with some weight re-distribution, this machine could be made very much more stable- like the Hiller machines. But, of course, it depends on what the builder wants, or expects the machine to do. But besides that, to comment on what earth bnd misfit was saying, "Another problem flying low, is all the dust, grass, sand and water you will kick up." This is of course true in many situations, and a flying platform will always be a compromise to some extent until something other than thrust is invented to act as the lifting force. But there are still a myriad of situations- as the aforementioned video illustrates- where kicking up debris is not considered a serious issue. But this home-builder deserves a LOT of credit for inventiveness and ingenuity. ![]() ![]() ![]()

This machine is anyway totally unstable in the air in respect to planet earth. You constantly have to make some inputs - or it will tumble randomly. (A machine like the PPC or the PPG have quite some stability - you can jump out and it will continue to fly until no fuel is left!) But it will be easier for the pilot to learn to control the flying platform, if some weight re-distribution gets done. That's the way I look at it. And yes, he deserves a lot of credit for his many builds. But probably (and hopefully) he don't need or care much about that. I Iove to see a home-builder like Pionowzlot from Poland. Great hobby! This build is also very nice, but Multi-Wing instead of props will give too low efficiency and too much noise - I guess.

What about this thing- is this "for real", or is it another "Hover-Bike" investment scheme?

What if you atach heavy weights to the outer edge of the blades. Would that give it more stability like a gyroscope?
