That is indeed the famous Dick DeGraw. He brought that machine and a two place Dominator both of which are for sale.

In retrospect, the dead giveaway is the double faced, red/green, position light assembly on the front of the mast. Where has Dick found those light assemblies with the red/green lenses? I've seen similar double faced turn light signal assemblies (red/amber) on the fenders trucks for many years.

I watched with interest and was surprised how easy it looked. He cast a mold of an original , of course , then mixed an acrylic or plastic liquid (same as factory would have used) .... tinted it to the color he wanted and poured. Low tech , no special ovens or anything , maybe it was on the show "American restorations" or "How it's made" or something. The red-orange double lights are readily available and cheap in automotive supply ..... all you need is to cast some green lenses and maybe find a small market in aviation. |

Chris: The single place was for sale for $7K, which I thought was a pretty good price. But, Dick indicated on the sign that it would not be sold with the "N" number, or it's A/W certificate (if memory serves me correctly) and it would be parts only. All of which made it less-than desirable for someone who wanted to buy and fly.
