Hey Dennis

No well one turbine. The coolest thing to me was the Nebulous Theorem 3 car, 256 cu in chevy naturally aspirated -- over 300 mph with a density altitude of 8000 or more!!! It kind of looks like a knife laying on the ground.

Hey Neutrax, Bonneville is on my bucket-list.
I got goosebumps listening to the audio of the racers rolling out in first gear
after help from the push truck, shifting into second and breaking the tires loose
on the salt, feathering the throttle until they got a bite.
It's hard to believe they can pull such a tall gear.
I would like to bring the gyro out there for a first class view.

Ya I think it is pretty touchy getting hooked up. Plus most are cammed up engines and to get them to grunt is a trick. You are going to slip and the car needs to go straight while spinning the wheels. Some had it together and some didn't. I was at the second mile and one came buy backwards and started spinning around. He pulled the chute while still spinning and wrapped the chute line around the car: not good. It sounds like you need to check it out. I liked it a lot.

A view from a gyro would be great but I doubt the SCTA would go for it.
