Flyboy - today is your lucky day!

The switch setting depends on the number of teeth on your ring gear.

For a 108 tooth ring gear like mine, switch 'A' settings reading from LSB to MSB (1 to 8) are 01110001 with Switch B (if you have one) set to 00000000.

For a 111 tooth ring gear like the Wunderlich, the correct switch 'A' settings reading from LSB to MSB (1 to 8) are 01010001 with Switch B (if you have one) set to 00000000. A post elsewhere on this forum gives an incorrect value.

For a 132 tooth ring gear, switch 'A' settings reading from LSB to MSB (1 to 8) are 00101110 with Switch B (if you have one) set to 00000000.

Tell me how many teeth are on your ring gear if your count is different and I'll give you the switch settings.

It's probably 108. Mark your start point and carefully count teeth. Then recount and compare.

When you pull the display and turn it toward you, maintaining the top - up orientation, you'll see two sets of switches. The left set is labelled 'A', I believe, and 1 - 8. These are the switches you set. The right set of switches is set to all '0'.

Depending on model, I believe the right switch set MSB is a 'doubler' and the one next to it is for a 'decimal'. Neither of them worked in my model.

My Red Lion started acting up and finally quit. Where can I buy a complete new set-up? Should I use another type?

Thanks Chuck...I just ordered the kit. I have a different type sensor on mine now.

BTW...Is the unit below any good?

http://www.cps-parts.com/scripts/pro...idproduct=1412

I could not find the sensor for it? I like the analog display...just curious.

The Wunderlich ring gear has 108 teeth. I just received 500 of them.

Anybody need a ring gear?

Apparently I got some bad info on the tooth count for Wunderlich off another thread.
Thanks for correction, Tom.

I would like one but your Pay Pal account will not let me pay with my credit card as a guest again.

I don't not want to use Pay Pal.

Can the leads from the tooth count sensor be extended on the Red Lion tach setup?

I ordered the kit from Tom (he shipped very fast). I need to add approximately 4 feet to the leads if possible. Has anyone done that, and if so, what type of wire is best?

I downloaded the instructions from Red Lion and my calculations concur with the 108 tooth settings of 01110001 for the left bank, but the instructions say that with the last switch in the off position, frequency is doubled. That indicates that the right bank should be 000001, with the last switch on.

Can someone shed some light on this?

Update to my previous post. The last switch can be off, which doubles values, so you will get the same results with the following settings:

Left - 11100010 Right - 000000
