Default Turbinator crop tour

This was my fling my fresh greased rotor flight...and also a maintenance flight for my annual. All systems looking go for Mentone.

Just got back from a 100 degree crop baking flight and took this video. I dont have a skid mount for my camera...and this one was hand held. The irrigation rig I flew by is the over $200,000 brand new rig that never pumped a drop of water yet. As you can see...that corn is baked.

The soybeans look very deceiving...they are dark green, but short and not fiilling up with as many pods. The yields are dropping every day until it rains.

They are starting to get some yellow leaves at the bottom.

On the video.....you can notice when the camera is outside, the wind noise is loud...but when my hand comes inside the cabin....that is just like it really is. The pop of the blades...the whine of the turbine are.....and I can easily make a cellphone call without a headset.

Man that looks like fun Stan. What a great way to burn up some kerosene. Thanks for sharing it.

If you are wondering where your rain has gone, I can tell you.
Its over here.
Northern Europe is waterlogged.

I personally believe that the same amount of rain falls on the planet each year. Areas that are getting below average just have their share of rain dropped on someone else raising them above their average. Just my theory. Stan

Stan

Your area is in a lot better shape than we are in here...Looks like fall here all the leaves are off the trees, Heck we even have cedar trees killing over here, never seen that before... Not to mention the grass hoppers are ferocious here now for some reason...Been here almost 15 years and been in this part of Arkansas all my life and have never see this kind of drought here ever...Looks like a desert here...

Thumbs up Video

Thank-you for sharing Stan.
What an incredible view you have there.

Your video is inspiring, whether it's gyros or just plain rotorcraft fun!
