Happy Birthday buddy!
I'm so glad your birthday and life are exceedingly happy. few have worked for it and so deserve it more.

I'm so thankful for your supporting this forum, PRA, and providing demo flights to those requesting it from me... I have another that may be contacting you soon for a demo flight for her boyfriend.

I really do wish you an extra special birthday to my extra special friend!!!

Give my love to Ed!!!!

Default Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes!

I am sorry I don’t have time for a better, more personal response to my friends.

Perhaps tomorrow will be less full.

I had a lovely flight to San Luis Obispo, flew and landed well in spite of every wind sock at SMX flying in a different direction.

I feel I learned something about my slider head today. I will post about it when I have done a little more research and testing. I feel I am now a slider head enthusiast. I was unimpressed based on my fantasy on how it worked. I finally just started adjusting it and it seems to have addressed two challenges.

It was overcast and the hills are now golden but I will post when I get a chance.

I had a lovely evening with Ed and it is time for bed.

It feels great to read so many kind words.

There is no question that it brightened my already bright day.

Thank you, Vance

Vance -

The first book I ever bought was by Mickey Thompson and his efforts at Bonneville in his Challenger . I read it so many times back in 1965 it is worn out.

I have probably read a thousand other books since then. I have an affinity for reading about people who tackle extraordinary projects with success.

They are driven by something in their heart that is rare and unusual.

I expect your life story will top most of them Vance , and I look forward to reading it some day in the future .

You are also the first person to have an early morning post on this forum wishing somebody a Happy birthday .

I am sure everybody here hopes you receive those same best wishes you so often extend to others.

Arnie

Hey, Scott, I didn't take the day off and still missed it!

Vance, you know how I admire your persistence, perseverance and stick-to-itiveness, which is being more than a little redundant but I'm going with it! You are a role model for even us ole grandpas. So, it is good to hear that you had a good birthday. Best wishes for a bunch more!

Default My spirit soars on the wishes of friends!

Thank you Kai, I think about my friend in Germany with his cup of coffee when I write about flying.

Thank you Leigh, I learn so much from you. You seem to be good at life.

Thank you Lee, I think you have great people skills. You communicate you passion well.

Thank you Paul, I have benefited from all your hard work and am proud to know you.

Thank you Chris and Jim, I feel your relationship is a lot like mine with Ed. You two make music.

Thank you Stan, there is seldom a day without Stan thoughts. It is a pleasure think of my friend.

Thank you Doug, the more I get to know you the more remarkable I feel you are.

Thank you Tim, I got a great flight in and romance too.

Thank you Mike, I appreciate how consistently positive you are.

Thank you Ben, I appreciate your patience with me. I look forward to flying with you.

Thank you Maher, it was a great day to fly, I was chased around by the fog and every windsock at SMX was blowing in a different direction. It was 78 degrees and I could adjust the temperature with altitude and proximity to the fog. I hope to post about it later.

Thank you Mark, you know I will. I hope to spend time with you at Mentone.

Thank you Jay, I am still amazed at how much we enjoyed your company at El Mirage.

Thank you Brent, I look forward to visiting with you at Mentone.

Thank you Chuck, you are the first one who welcomed me into the gyroplane community. I always smile when I think of you. You are always a treat.

Thank you Gary, I enjoy your clarity of thought. I struggle to understand your laconic humor and enjoy your posts.

Thank you Russ, I always enjoy you a lot. It was a treat to see you at Rotors over the Rockies.

Thank you Paul, I have enjoyed every minute we have spent together and always learn a lot about so many things from you. I am delighted to see you are starting to take care of you.

Thank you Harry and thank you for all the thought provoking, amazing emails.

Thank you Del, I look forward to knowing you better and watching your gyroplane adventure unfold.

Thank you Ed, You have a fine mind and you are often thought provoking. Even when we have divergent opinions you are always the gentleman.

Thank you Gabor, I struggle to understand you and am grateful for your patience with me. I am proud to be your friend.

Thank you Jon, you are a valuable contributor to my aviation knowledge. So far the worst things are the 500 hour on the magnetos and it looks like I need new disks. The mile long taxi to run up takes its toll. The squawk list should be done tomorrow. Phil has a new IA and he is very knowledgeable about gyroplanes. Wohoo!!!

Thank you Jeb, I enjoy your progress reports a lot, please keep them coming.

Thank you David, there so few tool makers left. I would love to learn from you.

Thank you Chuck (I think), I can never tell when you are making fun of me and I have become gun shy. I admire your knowledge and communication skills. I have yet to comprehend your humor.

Thank you Jeff, I am still not able to comprehend Tiny Tim. Do you think that is what Chuck was referring to?

Thank you Raul, I look forward to getting to know you better.

Thank you Mike, I always marvel at your acumen and competence. Thank you for your consistent support.

Thank you John, It is a pleasure to know you and call you my friend. I will pass you love to Ed.

Thank you Wayne, it is a great pleasure to know you.

Thank you Frank, It was a pleasure to meet you at Rotors over the Rockies. I am amazed at your eclectic knowledge and taste.

Thank you Arnie, I am grateful for all you kind words and thoughts. They help me to keep focused and undaunted.

Thank you Greg, I look forward to our time at Mentone.

Thank you Tadeusz, I am proud to know your and appreciate our friendship.

Thank you Mark, Phil’s new IA loves The Predator and of course, I do too. She enhanced my birthday, thank you.

Thank you Toby, I did and it was great. I look forward to flying with you someday.

Thank you Juergen, I always feel like you humor me about my fantasies. You have so much down to earth knowledge; I feel I can never catch up.

Thank you Rehan; although we are separated by borders, language and culture I feel we are kindred spirits and I find joy in that.

Thank you Jim, I admire the life you have built for yourself and Chris. There is no confusion about who you are.

Thank you Scott, you are always an inspiration to me!

Thank you Dean, I am pleased we are still friends in spite of our divergent styles. You are a gentleman.

Thank you all for your well wishes and kind words. I feel my spirit soar on the wings of such kind words and well wishes.

Thank you, Vance
