They look nice but I can only see 1 plug per cylinder. I prefer 2 like a Rotax or Lycoming. They are cheep however and fuel injected about 12500.00 US

Looks like a little like a suzuki motorcycle engine from the early 90s that has been converted.

If the oil cooling scheme actually works, they could be a nice option in pusher gyros.
But note the octane requirements to feed the 11.5-to-1 compression ratio! You're not going to find 95-98 octane unleaded in the US, so 100LL avgas would be pretty much mandatory. |

Quote:
That would make "95" equivalent to 90-91 octane gas here, "98" = 93-94 octane.

That is the engines from Suzukis " GSXR " crotch rockets.... Also used in the Katana and the Bandit motorcycles.
Those engines are known to be bullet proof and capable of making WAY WAY WAY more HP than what these engines are rated for.

The reason for single ignition is because Suzuki uses "Denso" ignition components.
Rotax had to use dual because they used Ducati components... "Lucas" may be the "prince of darkness" but Ducati electrical is a close second. ![]() Lucas: http://www.mez.co.uk/lucas.html

Seriously, it is a good looking concept, I had seen the website a couple of years ago, looks like they are progressing well. Suzuki makes good engines, they also make them for Arctic Cat as well.
84kg weight, around 185 lbs? I wonder what they took out of the transmission, I would not think they would leave all the gears in.
