Default New Powerfin prop on N446QT

I was doing some training this week and found a vibration. We checked the prop and after looking for everything under the sun we saw a bubble on the blade surface. It was delaminating. We needed to find a new one and like ASAP. Lucky for me Powerfin had one I could get this morning and still be flying for ROTR. It was white but I said sure why not. I got it put on and pitched. First flight was right on target smooth as silk!! Hit 90kts first shot. I had to do a slight trim on a spacer for clearance but other then this not a problem. Great customer service!

I thought Powerfin was done ? I guess not ?

Now would have been a good time to try an IVO or a Warp. I thought that it was decided here that the Powerfin was very delicate ?

It is and I would like to see them make it solid yes it would add weight but it would hold up better.

This the web address for Powerfin http://www.powerfin.com/ I called several other companies but they only make to order. 3 week wait! I need to fly right now! So I found powerfin and the are only 60 miles away south of Houston Texas. They make to order as well. They had a prop that was sitting for several weeks but not paid for. They had left several notes but no contact with the client so they let me have it. I drove down picked it up. They gave me excellent service, tour of the plant, and a free electronic pitch tool. Larry uses them on the Aurora butterfly. I found they were very smooth. Great climb, easy to pitch, and reach cruise with hardly any vibration.

I will know more after flying it in Utah at ROTR. So everyone can ask and see it who comes.

Prop was from Europe. It was probably an isolated case. I just decided not to wait and try something new and local US made.

If it doesn't work lt me know, I have a brand new warp drive for the RAF you could use until you get another.
