I just went searching for the faa link for the "Rotorcraft Flying Hanbook" (faa-h-8083-21) and found the following link:
http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/a...-h-8083-21.pdf But this book is titled "helecopter flying handbook" (faa-h-8083-21A). They removed gyroplanes from the book. Are they coming out with a 8083-21B for gyros? I have a copy of the publication but need a link for a friend who is interested. |

Yes but it is, er, was free from the faa like their other pubs. I have a copy for myself (analogue and digital), I just don't know what the faa did with/to their copy.

Someone here on the forum posted awhile back that it was missing, but was "soon" to be included...

I had the same thread.
The amazon version is the 2003 version. The FAA are apparently working on the Gyroplane/Autogyro section of the handbook. I believe it is their intent to make it a separate document. The last free version (non-Amazon) was 2000. I haven't found any real difference between the 2003 release and the 2000 release in the Gyroplane/Autogyro section.
