Default Here is the most brilliant statement ever made without a word being said!!

This guy was told by his Homeowners Association that he could not fly the American Flag in his yard......

His response was this picture....he had to really want to fly his flag and/or was ticked off ....

Brillant!!! A 2'x3' flag would have been far less intrusive on the Homeowners Association. Intolerant fools!!!

Good one. No GREAT ONE!

Default No understatement!

In response to such HOA rules, there are times ya just have to overstate the absurd!

Hi Gary
Out of fairness Heron may have been asking why the HOA would not allow him it fly a US flag?
I have that same question?

After I received this in a friends email, I wondered the same thing John. It's my understanding that some states have a law that says displaying the flag can't be banned…but can have restrictions on pole height, location of the pole, etc.

But this is Memorial weekend and I don't really care why that guy did this…I love our flag displayed and I don't give a rap if it is even on clothing .

The only thing that would surprise me is an HOA that doesn't allow flags (and there are a lot of them around here) isn't also going to control how you are allowed to paint the house too.

That was the first thing that came to my mind .... who in America prevents an American from flying the American flag.

I find this puzzling .... seeing as how important the American flag is to Americans.

thank you

Sounds like typical internet made up story to me.

The guy has gone overboard to paint his house like that and he will have the HOA after him now.

The bit about the HOA banning him from flying the flag sounds like crap to me.
Restricting size of flag or height of pole yes but banning the flying of the stars and stripes. I find that very hard to believe.

Default What?

What is a "Homeowners Association"?
Can't say I have heard the term around here.

Graeme.
