Default I Love Helping Out !

Spent my entire Friday at the airport. I was talking with the owner of this plane and asked what he was doing. He said he had to replace one of his batteries (behind the back seat) . I was wondering how he was going to do that ?

I asked him if he wanted me to jump up in there & do it for him. He was very thankful that I did ! I could fit in there & he couldn't !

After removing about 20 screws the cover comes out. There are 2 odysey batteries in there. 2 seperate systems with a crossover. 3 solenoids back there. I could really appreciate the time involved to do all the work, but certainly no fun to get at !

He let me sit in the front seat & play with some switches ( I want a ride)

He let me take his (original owner) antique Honda 550 Four for a spin......bought back some memories. Dick is a very interesting man ! I'll have to get some pics of his other toys in there......do you see his Ford truck ? Beautiful !

I also was helping Larry B get his 912 engine piped up for a while. I had a great day !

Here is a picture of my "new" 2000 Subaru Outback. I am loving it ....so far !

Chris- Good on you! That is a lot of fun to have someone offer to help...and it is a lot of fun just to show up and offer to do some grunt work on any aircraft. When I was a little kid.....my dads Cessna 140 would get an annual...and the mechanic let my little arm reach in some inspection plates and turn pulleys 90 degrees. He made me feel like I was really helping out.

I like helping out too...I always ask, "Which way did you come in?"

Nice Soob, by the way. Be careful taking it to gyro fly-ins.

Who knows what model airplane that is ? He is going to be flying her to Oshkosh this year(again?) RV ?

Today I will be getting my launch permits for my 2 kayaks. I got my fishing license on Sat. so I am anxious to go do some boating & fishing. A little peace & solitude !

Default Who is helping you Chris ?

Hello Chris,

Curious what ever became of your 2 place sxs air command project with the 2.5 ?

Do you still fly the single ?

J. , the single place is in perfect flying condition except for that little thing I posted a thread about......"Ever lose a trim spring?" Check it out & let me know what you would do ! (other component section )

The SxS is patiently waiting for me to get back in the garage & wire her up. Don't really need a 2 place right now. Don't be bustin my balls about it......I got alot of stuff on my plate ! Sold my Vette....one less thing to mess with. I'm workin on it !

Do you fly a passenger very often ? It is still my dream to share the thrill of gyro flight to whomever would trust me to take them.

J, you asked & I answered with a request. You then do not respond back.

What's up with that ?

I also asked you a question. Did you ignore it on purpose ?
