Robert,
Is yours mounted on a bracket or support or is it supported just by your fuel line? I've looked at mounting it down low like yours. I just have to make a bracket or support for it.

Tim, are you gonna have those aluminum aux tanks ? I would be interested to see how they plumb them up.(factory way )

Tim, mine is held by the gas line only. This is the way Sportcopter is doing them right now. Maybe this is a better picture. I don't think it would be hard to come up with a simple bracket for your application.

Robert gave me the heads-up on his gyro build awhile ago. I won't have any aux tanks on my at first but I would like to add something later on.

Looks good. How much more before yours is done? I don't have the rigid line/valve like yours so I'll have to try making a bracket.

Tim, registration came back from FAA this week. Did hang test last weekend. Evan at Sportcopter is sending me some new cheek plates. Should be here next week. Will call for inspection following week. Will be in the air soon.

Been piddling along kind of slow. Life keeps getting in the way. Got some new stuff to add on. Here's a couple photos before it gets mounted.

A little more progress. Today we got the prop on and the engine running. We premixed some fuel and oil in an external tank to run through it until we are sure the oil injection system has all the air bubbles out of the line. When it first started fuel started leaking out of the vent tubes so we had to take off the bowls and discovered the floats were stuck. Easy fix. The EGT gauges didn't work so I'll have to trouble shoot that. Still have other odds and ends to wrap up but hearing the engine run felt like we made a major milestone.

More progress. Rotor head is on along with most of the stuff associated with it. Waiting on my last batch of parts/hardware, etc. Getting closer.

If you're talking about the blue loop it's a piece of tubing covering the pitot and static tubes to keep spiders, etc out. I'll have a "Remove before Flight" tag on it eventually.

If you are using aluminum soft tube, you don't need plastic to make the bends, so what is the plastic for that ties the two pieces of tubing for? I see it is safety wired, so it looks like a permanent fixture. And I don't think the static line from the ASI can point into the windstream, your AS will indicate zero if the pressure on both sides of the guage is equal.
