Now the new workshop looks a great space to work in, without the paint it would be like a cave, such character with the demolition showing.
I think the weight must be creeping up with such good components, best of luck keeping with the nice disc loading for those rotors. bon appetit vertigo |

finally I got my sprocket...
There is still some work to be done on it but that job I can do myself. [IMG] ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/IMG] |

To me it look like top quality parts you are collecting - but also a little expensive, I guess.
I have just ordered my coax gear box, and maybe I will buy the same rotor blades as you. I am interested to see how your brackets and rotor blade assembly look. |

Still no sprocket for the gearbox but I put all part together and this is what it will look like, just add an extra hubbar above the gearbox and rotorblades...

Wow, looks good. And not so high and top heavy as on previous pictures - as I see it.
What about the weight - where are you now and where will it end? |

This fuelpump, now acts as an oilpump from the bottom of the gearbox to the top bearing...

Finally Im going to the hardener today to pick up my sprocket...
then its the splines in the drive shaft, and my friend will make them this week, Hmmm we will see about that, but anyways things are rolling slowly forwards, and that is what counts :-) |

As always things go slowly, but I must admit that I love the slow pace...
I spend lot of time waiting for parts, but I dont mind i just have a cup of coffe and contemplate in my shop :-) But I guess we all prefere that things take time instead of things going too fast... At the moment I have problems with my sprocker/driveshaft line up? and I need help from my friend to solve it... I have my turning machine that I have shown pictures of, and even if its made before 1872 (thats when the Germans turned Metric, this machine is Inche) it still just have a fault of 0.03 mm but its not big enough to handle my driveshaft The frame for the engines and gearbox will soon be painted, It will be painted white wet pait so that I can detect cracks easy, black powdercoating is not the best if you look for cracks :-) |

This week I will paint the motor chassie and make some boring jobs as drilling holes in al the bolts for the locking threads...
I will also make the last drive shaft, finally... I have started on the drawing for the blade mounts I have a question: my temporary rotorhubs are not perfect for my coning angle so the centerline from the blades mass center will come below the bolt that connects the hub to the mast so if the blades flap during testing the weight center will go outside the center of the shaft. Will this be a problem during test hover?? or is it a problem only if I have forward motion? |

Hi Zigge,
I guess that put you in good spirit about the hole project. Unfortunately for us - or maybe only me - the video is not available :-( |
