Name:AID ~ Airfoil Investigation Database
Description: A very comprehensive and current database on 1,755 airfoils. It is based on the University of Illinois airfoil database but with considerably more information on each airfoil, plus the ability to directly compare airfoils. The Reynolds Numbers give are for small R/C helicopters. Comment: This link had been posted by Dave Jackson RotorRooter as a separate thread but Dave had proposed to incorporate it here. I thought it would be the best way to just copy it to this thread as a reply. Anyone who wishes to add more airfoil data is invited to post the link as reply in this thread. Keywords: Airfoil, Coefficient, Lift, Drag, Browse, Search, Compare, Plot Last edited by kolibri282; 02-10-2012 at 08:57 AM. |

http://airfoiltools.com/airfoil
This site has pretty comprehensive data for 1600+ airfoils. As an example have a look at the VR-11x: http://airfoiltools.com/airfoil/deta...rfoil=vr11x-il or the wide variety of Goettingen airfoils: http://airfoiltools.com/search/list?page=g&no=6 There is a printed version of Selig's data base here: http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/u...il-Data-V1.pdf http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/u...il-Data-V2.pdf http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/u...il-Data-V3.pdf Last edited by kolibri282; 11-09-2012 at 08:56 PM. |
