Default 2024-T4 or 2024-T3?

I don't want to risk a failure because I can't find the right materials. The KB2 plans say to use 2024-T4 on the axle clamps. Will 2024-T3 work instead? Which is stronger?

Thanks,

Tim

Default Aluminum

Tim,

T3 is slightly stronger than T4.
T3 yield 42,000 psi, T4 yield 40,000 psi
T3 tensile 63,000 psi, T4 tensile 62,000 psi

Tim, T-3 will be fine for the axle blocks on the KB or Bensen
