Lightbulb Hello Germany, France and Finland!

Hello!
I thank the Lord for the rotary wing forum.

It gives a great opportunity to ask if sombody can help me find som pictures of currently or previously flying Bensen style gyros (Bensen, KB, Parson etc) registered in Germany, France or Finland. I have tried searching the internet, but not finding any proof of existing Bensen style gyros flying in these countries. My lack of language skills is one big problem. It seems I cant even find them on the selling market.

Sombody I can contact in Germany France or Finland? A good website suggestion? Or is it a question of approval according to latest requierments?

There is a German-registered Bensen currently in Ireland.
I think the reg is D-MARS, and it is probably for sale.
VW-powered, prerotator, New Dragon Wings rotors.

You might get the name of the original builder from the German registry listing.
The guy got sick and/or died, and the machine was sold via Woody De Saar,
to James Kavanagh in Ireland.
If the reg doesn't tell you enough, you might get more info from Woody.

Hi Karl, I think PRA chapter 3 is in Germany. I am sorry that I don't have any contact info. I will look into it.

I found rotospot where I found quite a few "Bensen" containing some historical details, but I'm still looking for picture material, and as for germany, I couldn't find any listed Bensen (still looking)http://www.rotorspot.nl/historic.htm

Kontakt with OUV http://www.ouv.de/ the german organisation for befriending amatour aircraft building projects I believe, has given me some answers.

Seems the Bensen in Germany only flew on a permit to test but never got a permit to fly and much less getting certificates of airworthiness, if I understood it correctly? Still maybe somone knows more about the details, details about the permits to test and what went on at that time? How many permits where there? Why and what happened?

How is the situation in your counties? Interesting to know. Historically and culturly for the gyrocopter. The peoples helicopter like the cars Austin mini and Volkswagen compared with the limousine and other luxerious cars...still beeing cars but more expensive?

In Sweden the stabelizer was improved and som more strenght added to the construction...supposedly in order to get it approved and it also changed name to "Humlan".
