Hello all you Ken Brock friends and fans!
I have a a Bensen with a KB joystick kit in super condition, no doubt about it. Unfortunately the packingslip is gone and the previous owners cant find them anywhere. I need the packingslip to veryfy material quality and that the welding was done in Kens "factory" just as the engine mount bensen kit packingslip veryfies this. Otherwice the EAA wouldnt know if I welded it or the manufactorer. That would in worst senario mean that I would have to discharge the entire original Ken Brock joystick kit. In that case I would feel lousy as Im interested in keeping things original and as a tribute to Ken. Not lazy as having to make a new one. Very happy if anyone out there would have a copy for me of this kind of "parts counted packingslip" info for the "Ken Brock Joystick kit" (Kit with parts numbers 20502 to drw 20501). Are there no KB owners that have a packing slip or similar for the KB-joystick they ordered form Ken Brock's?????

I cannot promise for 100% but I have one filed somewhere. Ive found just an inv from the last joystick that Ken sent me. I will try to find it. Giorgos.

Karl had asked me via PM if I could help. I couldn't. He was facing having to take metal samples to the University for Quality testing, all this to satisfy the Authorities. Thank You for assisting him...he's a great guy in a bit of a pickle. |

I must really be out of it--why would he need to take materials to have them tested and what "Authorities" would require this. He mentioned the EAA -what in the world do they have to do with anything on this matter.
Even if all this is required he is still no better off now than he was before..He still has a control stick that purports to be manufactured by KB --but he has no reciept or other paperwork. So he goes online to get somebody to give them a copy of theirs. In reality there is no direct link between this paperwork and his joystick--- Just where is all of this required ?

Well as in many cases information is a hazard becasue there are always misconceptions growing at more than the rate does the information. I never said i didn't have reciepts, did I? As to the specification that would say how Ken Brock went about things or let us amatures do those critical parts, that is the question wherein the answer is... because in Sweden welding is only permitted by licensed manufactorers or certified aircrafts welders. EAA officials are the ones that tell you if you got what it takes to fly in Sweden. And this is good for everyones safty. Hope this clears things out.

Ok -now I understand ! so what does the EAA stand for in Sweden --here its the Expeximental Aircraft Asscociation - Also in your Bio You list yourself as from Sweden Mo.( Mo.is our postal code for Missouri ) there really is a Mexico Missouri --thats where Zenith Aircraft are built.---so it was reasonable for me to think that Sweden Missouri is where your from !

Abit of the topic but here goes.
EAA stands for Experimental Aircraft Association here too. NOTE!From what I heardit was chapter 222, but since it started to work as an authority rather than an association it was no longer allowed to be part of the worldwide chapters. So that means its not chapter 222 any more. And exactly how it works in compareson to other EAA chapters I can only guess, but former Swedish residents tend to say everything is much more complicated in Sweden, perhaps good for safty, but also a bit scary to even think of getting your permitts and approvals. This concerns general topics as from starting your own restaurant to building your little carport gargage. It all turns out very nice and neet but very difficult to try something new. Nothing near your Ultralight rules that I sincerely would appreciate . In spite of this I like my country's "Allemansrätt". This is a general rule stating my right to walk about where ever I please. Nobody can say "privet land so no tresspassing", I can pick berries and walk about where ever I like. Well not in others gardens ofcourse. This fits me and other villegers in my little village "Mo" nicely. Mo is just plane fine nice Mo. Simple in a comlpecated small northern country one might think reading this. The "capital village" to Mo is also simple. "Lit" Yes thats it jsut plane Lit. |
