Name: AID ~ Airfoil Investigation Database
Description: A very comprehensive and current database on 1,755 airfoils. It is based on the University of Illinois airfoil database but with considerably more information on each airfoil, plus the ability to directly compare airfoils. The Reynolds Numbers give are for small R/C helicopters. Keywords: Airfoil, Coefficient, Lift, Drag, Browse, Search, Compare, Plot Chuck or Juergen, you may wish to add link to this thread on Chuck's the earlier 'University of Illinois Airfoil Database' , or better yet, add a link directly to this new site http://www.worldofkrauss.com/ and then remove this thread. Dave,
it is an excellent idea to group all airfoil data in one thread but I did not want to delete this one since I only want to interfere if people start to post stuff that is way off topic for our "Technical Papers, Books and Publications" sub forum. This is a joint effort and I would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who have contributed so far. I would like to propose that additional airfoil data - not only data bases but also data of single profiles - be posted to the airfoil data base thread, which is here: Airfoil Database I have therefor copied your post to this thread as a reply. If you or others think that there is a better way please let me know. Cheers, Juergen Last edited by kolibri282; 02-10-2012 at 08:36 AM. |
