Default Azuza wheels

anyone using the 8 inch cast aluminum Azuza wheels and care to comment on them ? Have a set I am shinking about using on my tractor.

I don't think they would be very good on a tractor. You want something wider and with more tread, so you got some pulling power and traction!

When I bought my little lawn mower tractor, it had old Pontiac tires on the front. They didn't work at all well and I had to change them out for regular tractor tires. I think the Azuza tires would be slippery as well.

I shared a hangar with a Buckeye Paraplane & a Toucan trike. Both had these wheels & I thought they would be great !

They have a taller diameter & were slimmer. I believe those are what Pat Mcnear switched over to on his RAF. He said it made it easier to move on soft soil.

I like them !

How about brakes for them, though ?

I have them on the kB 4. I had to adapt a brake for them. They will take a wheel barrel tire if you want a round tire. Make sure you get the 4 ply tire. My only complant is they are hard to keep clean or shiny. I would power coat them if I were using a bright color scheme.

I don't know about POWER coat, But POWDER coating might be nice ? LOL

I would like to see some pics & description of your brake adaption.
