Flying Hummer

I'm more geared toward solutions.

What can we do about it? How can we make it better?

Then we all take the time to write our congressmen and the media with your good ideas (if any).

PS:
As to flying Un-aerodynamic heavy things, forget about it!!!

You can fly a rock with enough power but you need more fuel than payload every time and it handles like CR$P.

Luc,

Luc,

I am not faulting the Carter guys for making a buck only suggesting that in the end even they must be aware that there isn't going to be flying gyro humvees.
Now if they want to sell me an upgrade kit for a Sportcopter to do jump takeoffs, I'll buy one, but they don't seem interested in doing things like that.

By the end of a day, many of the military financed inventions,
like teflon, internet, jet engines, helicopters, benefit the general public...

So, maybe, some of the money gets lost, but on the other hand,
some of the money eventually goes back to the taxpayer.

In this particular case, this grant is certainly working on behalf
of improving the gyroplane technology and improving the general
perception of gyroplane flying.

It's no more an activity of some suicidal freaks,
it is going to be a serious military hardware.
