Ron Awad?

I'm glad to see the old "drunk pilot, Student pilot" routine being kept alive. I saw one years ago where the "instructor" got out to check the tailwheel and the "student" took off. Th PA announcer was talking about the plane being a clunker and he wasn't surprised about the tailwheel problem. Right after a thrilling takeoff, the plane shed an aileron. Same ending. A crowd pleaser.

That wouldn't happen to have been good ol' Grandpa Snazzy and his Rib Cracking Antics, would it?

that was quite entertaining! Heres another video of a similar act but not quite as thrilling! Charlie Kulp the flying farmer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2BPcurREpo

I met Charlie Kulp several years ago when he did the airshow at asheboro n.c.

After the show some of the other Members of I.A.C. where there and me and a few others helped Charlie remove the wings from his J-3.

He would take the wings off and trailers his airplane to the airshows.

and was a very nice guy to talk to about flying.

Talking with mr. Kulp was the highlight of my day that day.

Kyle Franklin's Cub...

Kyle has Stainless Steel "Skid Plates" attached to the undersides of both wingtips. As they wear away...he can replace them with a fresh pair.
