Took a cross country flight today, there were 5 planes involved in the trip.

I flew in Connie's SkyBoy since she had to work today and the Twinstarr is down for some upgrades.

The flight was an hour and a half each way.

We spotted a house burning down on the way up.

On the way back it was gone, but WAS STILL BURNING. I wonder if the fire started up again after the firefighters left??

Here are the photos:

what kind of upgrades are ya doing to the Twin Star?

doggonit Tim.....you need to tell me when your coming this way. I would have flown down and met you there for some grub at the ol cafe.

I have removed the Lycoming Oil screen and I am replacing it with a remote spin on filter.

I am also working out a new thermostat system for my heated clothing.

that is a good point. I did not know I was going to urbana through until 20 min before we left.

The original plan was to fly to Portsmith OH, to eat but when we checked the weather it was snowing there and visibility was below VFR.

Will do.

How far south is a reasonable distance for you, and that I should let you know?

We fly to Red Stewart Airfield regularly.

Today, Connie was off work and she was PIC.

We flew to 40I (Red Stewart) and Hook Field (Middletown Ohio).

I noticed what I thought at first was a corn maze. Turned out that apparently the Right to LIfe movement is signifed with a corn-ribbon??

That is correct!

The woods next to the bridge, are part of Ft. Ancient.

Tim, middletown is a bit far...springfield area is as far as I normally go. Now if there was a special event I make an exception.

I would like to check out your SkyBoy sometime....I looked into one of them back when I bought my S2 but I wanted to find one with a Jabiru, instead of the rotax912.

Tim, good photos. It's been breast cancer awareness time lately. Those ribbons in the field could be for Breast cancer awareness. They use those ribbons.
