The DiNelli company has developed a new gyroplane.
Until recently only some CAD visualisations were available.

During the recent INTERGEO fair in Hannover the cabin
has been displayed for the first time at the DiNelli-Xenia booth.

I have no clue if it is just a mock-up or a real thing, but looks good. :)

Forget DiNelly. I'll eat my hat if I ever see one fly. -- Chris.

It doesn't appear to have enough tail surface area to me but the rest of it looks nice.

I like the way single-mast gyros look, and they are great on smaller rotor disks, but when you are swinging a 30+ foot blade to spin em up I just do not trust em. Too many of em have cracked and/or failed utterly in the past. As for me, I'll stick with the tripod design employed early on by Air Command and Parsons, and later by RFD etc. Ugly, simple, and safe. I've yet to hear of an AC, RFD, etc mast failure. I attribute this record to the exceptional torque-damping quality of the fowrad support tube design charachteristics. And there's no way the DiNelli is going to fly w/o swapping ends in a stiff crosswind as shown here, agreed. But I do like the V tail. It has proven benefits in wind tunnel testing.
