Thanks Tore for all your help on Sunday, it way great finally getting together and talk gyro's and exchange ideas. I think a club around here could really benefit a lot of people and get the gyro bug stirring in others.
I haven't forgotten about you, I have been taking some of my family flying when I get a chance and working some weekends too and of course the weather is still mostly crap. Anything new with you ?
Thanks Russ, I just got back from scappoose! Met some great people pra chapter73 meeting Quite a drive but it was worth it looking at all the spotrtcopters!!! It would be nice to get the ball rolling a little closer to home!
Hi Tore, The gyro community is pretty weak around here unfortunately but maybe we can change that. I've been looking for an instructor for a while now and just decided to go and get my fixed wing sport pilots license, which I completed last weekend yeah, and get my gyro add-on later. Great guys in Scappoose, go get a ride with Jim Vanek in his two place, its fun.
I would very much like to get things going, but I can't fill either of those requirements yet! If you do have any meetings or just get togethers please let me know! currently I'm building a kb3 dropkeel it would be great to talk gyros with a like minded group! Thanks Tore.
Tore, the chapter is still in existence. I sent out an email and there seems to be some interest in getting active again. What is holding us back is a viable instructor and a 2 place to instruct in. I have my machines in Randy Rogers hanger in Auburn. There is another active gyro nut in the hanger named Jeff Robb.
